Message from the Commission Chair

Dear Partners in Tourism and Hospitality:

It is an honor to serve as chair of the Oregon Tourism Commission.  Travel Oregon’s governing board is committed to our mission, which simply put is to grow the economy and our collective quality of life through tourism. How lucky we all are to work in an industry that accomplishes both so well at the same time.

That mission is accomplished through collaboration with local, regional, national, tribal and private tourism entities, that we might collectively maximize returns, reduce seasonal fluctuations, and increase length of stay, destination visits, and international inbound travel.

The Commission has worked with staff to position Travel Oregon as an industry unifier. To build the collaborations, programs, and marketing tools that will benefit our industry and our state. To help align products, services, and experiences with the end client in mind. Because we all know that the visitor is the ultimate judge and determiner of our success.

Thank you for the important contributions that you bring to our industry. Travel Oregon’s mission belongs to all of us collectively, and only by working together will we achieve it.
